5 Reasons Why Denmark is the Happiest Country in the World………..According to Yours Truly

I have visited more than 50 countries and Denmark is in my top 5 places to visit! I now know why they are voted the happiest country in the world! In no particular order, here you go......... 1.The Food Previously Denmark was a meat an potato kinda country, like Germany. In recent years, however, they have revamped the their food scene. You can still get traditional dishes like Pølsers and Smørrebrød. But imagine getting these dishes totally revamped on a whole other level. If you are ever in Copenhagen stop by Copenhagen Street Food on Paper Island. There use to be an old building that stored paper on the island,…

12 Things To Know Before You Go – Tokyo, Japan

I had the time of my life in Japan, when I say I loved Tokyo, I mean if I could move here next I would. The culture, the food and these are the nicest people on earth! Here are a few tips you should know. 1. Japanese people take their time and eat their food. They don’t eat and walk with their food or drink and walk. When you purchase something on the street you are expected to sit or stand nearby and finish your food before continuing on with your journey. If you notice, there are no trash cans around the city, this is why, this is also probably…

Greece is More than Santorini….Exploring Corfu

I've been wanting to do some island hopping in Greece, but while doing some research I learned that ferry's to all the Greek Island's don’t necessarily run every day, so you could be stuck on one island for a couple of days, which isn’t a bad thing but I was limited on time. I only had 4 days over the Labor Day weekend and wanted to make the best of it. Everyone wants to go see Santorini, and I do too, but I really wasn’t in the mood for the tourist crowds. I started looking on Ryan Air for cheap tickets....to any destination really, I just needed my flight dates…

Vino Hopping Birthday Bash

In previous years for my birthday I've celebrated doing a variety of things.........in 2013 I was touring Europe, in 2014 I rented a cabin in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountians and last year I was throwing tomatoes in the world's largest food fight in Spain. This year I decided to celebrate at home in Italy by escorting 8 of my friends around to a few local wineries for tastings, a little food and some much needed fun! Our winery tasting tour began promptly at 9:30 am, what better way to start your morning than with vino for breakfast, right?!?!?! Our first stop was to Ca'Bruzzo where we met Alan Bruzzo.…

The Ultimate Sicilian Food Tour

My 2 favorite things in life are travel and food in that order. In my opinion, there is no better way to spend a vacation than to eat you way through it. Last week I planned to spend the weekend in Catania, Sicily so before I left I was surfing one of my FB Travel Groups for ideas of things to do in the area. I came across a food tour that someone suggested called the Streat Cantania Food Tour. I contacted the company and reserved my spot immediately. I simply sent an email and Glenda had my spot reserved through email in a very timely fashion. This walking tour…

Cinque Terre……..the Second Time Around

It was Easter weekend and I had nothing planned (I know....not like me at all). I usually have everything ready to go and all I have to do is board the plane, but I don't know what was different about this weekend. I had my heart set on going to Naples, but I just couldn’t decide what to get into. Then out of nowhere a travel buddy says lets go to Cinque Terre............. I'm thinking to myself ...... been there, done that, I even tried talking him into going to Naples, but after doing the numbers it was more cost effective to head Cinque Terre and I was not about…
